SIDDHARTHA DAS STUDIO, PROPOSAL FOR CORPORATE COMPANY OFFICE, GUJARAT

Concept, research, sample commissioning and art collection proposal for a 20,000 sq. ft new office building. Elise was managing the project.

The selected art illustrates a rich variety across media, sizes and colours, that are not seen as dressings, but as ones that will, with the intent of the architecture and the interior design, play a vital role in how one experiences and inhabits the space. 

A unified thematic thread that governs the Art Programme. The art selected is from great modern masters of Indian Art spanning over a hundred years to contemporary younger artists who are looking at art differently.

These are punctuated by traditional art, craft and textiles. The traditional cultural legacy is reinterpreted in a modern manner for this technological marvel of a building. This rich tradition of craft practice and heritage provides a unique opportunity to create works at a scale commensurate with that of the building.
