Zut - Tunis Dream City

TUNIS DREAM CITY, BIENNALE OF CONTEMPORARY ART,
BY COMPAGNIE TERRAIN VAGUE

"ZUT! convokes and propagates the point of view of passers-by while the masked, disguised body is presented. The skin is painted with the declaration of the public street, co-written by the passers-by of the city. A box of pandora then opens the parlour that makes us look like this other assembly, this popular arena with sharp eyes that repudiates or acclaims ... " Dorsaf Ben Nasser

The ZUT performance questions the place of each and the function of the public space. The characters take the place of the "invisible", we live on the street, we live on the sidewalk, we live in the space of a box ... We travel the city, we ask, we rest, in the interstices, among urban signage. On the way we collect the words of the passers-by, we ask them the time to write the phrase on the ground, on the skin of the city and on our own. The sentences collected will then be returned to the microphone and transmitted to the public.

In an urban landscape, the ZUT performance questions the place of the invisible, and the skin speaks publicly.

In Tunis, the body is a "collective body", which puts itself at the service of "living paintings", knowing that the sculpture of man is prohibited according to religion. These “tableaux” attracted a large audience, curious and participative.
