The design intends to create a synergy between the residency and its surrounding natural elements. The brick façade gives a warm expression, natural stone is used for stairs and exterior hallways. Interior walls, ceiling and floors are in nuances of white that enhance the art and craft and bespoke furniture in dark wood. The feeling is honest and elegant, attention is given to details and finishes. Brass elements enhance the sophisticated simplicity. A Latin inspired, semi-covered flexible space is suggested for the rooftop, that enjoys spectacular view onto the surroundings and the city. Trees and plants are carefully selected and composed into an abundant all year scenery. Harvested rainwater and filtered grey water are suggested for watering.

Playful spaces that allow the two young children to grow has been conceived. Coloured cork turns a wall into a pin board, and large paintings inspired by nature and legends cover others.

A large cluster of botanical paintings combines the client’s passion for painting and the children’s love for nature.
